NEA Task 21 (Planning) : Photography Planning

 For the Photography element of the magazine as a minimum it is required that I would need 4 photos for the magazine's front cover and contents pages as well as two images for the website's home page and the linked page, all of these photos are also required to be original photos.

First of all for the websites home page, I am planning to keep within the theme of the magazines title and the play on the titles name of  'Off the Reels'. There will be no models for this shot for the home page and it will ideally feature rails of a train track from the local area at a low lighting setting to give more effect on the image. The camera would be facing up the track away from the camera with a clear sky in the background where the title of the homepage would be in the skyline of the website's home page, the mise en scene would be mainly feature the track and the natural and built environment around it to give the essence of realism around the photography. The photos will be taken by myself first hand, and the equipment used will be the technology of Apple, an Iphone 13. For the second image for the linked page on the website it will feature a messy background with a darker setting, this image will be darker and appear less organised than the home page and it will ideally have movie reels scattered within the giving the image more of a mise en scene element than the first image because this page will have typically more information on a specific article. This will also be taken by myself using the same equipment.

For the magazine front covers I am planning to use two models who will be a 'couple of directors' in which I personally will select a location which emphasises the focus of love and unity between the models and photograph them together with reference to their shared film. It is key for the models to be comfortable in this shot so various locations will be photographed to get the best piece of photography. For the second front cover, I will have one model in their work environment which will be that of an art studio as they are a set designer and are establishing the importance of these characters behind the scenes of film production. The model will feature alone while in their typical work gear and environment to give the impression they are still working even while we are shooting for the magazine, both pieces of photography will feature a bright lighting emphasis to contrast the purple cover of the magazine. The photos will be taken by myself first hand, and the equipment used will be the technology of Apple, an Iphone 13. 

For the magazines contents pages there will be images along the bottom which will feature photographs relevant to the feature articles on the contents pages, however for the main image on each contents page it will feature an advert for either a campaign or charity. This will show the magazine in a very positive light as it is providing huge space a good cause and early into the content showing its importance to the magazine and social awareness creating a good brand image for the 'OffTheReels' magazine. Multiple models will be used in the photography productions for these adverts with the main goal to make them look as professional as possible.
